1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing and using the soreviak website you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
2. What we do
soreviak is a broadcasting and media business based in Auckland Park, Johannesburg, supplying radio, television, streaming and digital content services through its online platform. Our broadcasting activities are authorised by the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) under the Electronic Communications Act 36 of 2005, licence number {icasa_licence}, and we subscribe to the Code of Conduct administered by the Broadcasting Complaints Commission of South Africa (BCCSA).
3. Your obligations
You must use the service lawfully and with respect for others, without infringing the rights of third parties or any law in force in the Republic of South Africa, including the Films and Publications Act 65 of 1996 and the classification requirements of the Film and Publication Board.
4. Intellectual property
All content supplied by soreviak is protected by the Copyright Act 98 of 1978 and other intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute or modify that content without prior written permission.
5. Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, including the seven-day cooling-off right that applies to purchases made online.
6. Limitation of liability
soreviak is not liable for direct, indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct, and except where liability may not lawfully be excluded under South African law.
7. Complaints
Complaints about programming may be taken to the BCCSA. Complaints about the processing of personal information may be taken to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at [email protected].
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will be resolved in the South African courts, and you consent to the jurisdiction of the Magistrates Court where that court has jurisdiction.
